We are looking to fill the position of a research assistant / PostDoc in the field of Optimization of alternative fuel supply chains at the earliest opportunity. In a young and highly motivated team you can expect exciting activities in the areas of research and teaching.
Wissenschaftliche/r Mitarbeiter/in (w/m/d)
Development and implementation of mathematical models for the prescriptive analysis of complex global supply chains
Presentation of results at international conferences
Preparation of scientific papers for highly-ranked peer-reviewed journals
Active collaboration in the Cluster of Excellence "The Fuel Science Center”, funded by the German Research Foundation
Support in teaching and supervision of student theses
You hold a Master’s degree or PhD in Operations Research, Management, (Industrial) Engineering, Computer science, Mathematics or a comparable field.
You have profound knowledge in the field of Operations Research, both in the development of mathe-matical models and solving these using standard solvers (Gurobi, CPLEX or Xpress) and ideally in the implementation of solution methods.
You have extensive knowledge of a higher programming language.
As part of your studies you have acquired knowledge in the areas of production, logistics and supply chain management.
Your work is characterized by initiative, self-motivation, commitment, ability to work in a team, and social skills.
You have very good command of the English language.
What we offer:
The position is 2 years and is to be filled as soon as possible. An extension for another year is intended.
This is a full-time position.
The successful candidate has the opportunity to pursue a doctoral degree.
The salary corresponds to level TV-L 13.
