Auf­ga­ben­be­sch­rei­bung:

The AV depart­ment is loo­king for a stu­dent assi­stant for the Elas­Test pro­ject. Elas­Test is an EU-fun­ded rese­arch pro­ject that aims to help deve­lo­pers test large dis­tri­bu­ted app­li­ca­ti­ons while ensu­ring inter­ope­ra­bi­lity with popu­lar "con­ti­nuous inte­gra­tion" con­cepts and tools.

The vacancy offers the oppor­tu­nity to learn and explore the field of Indus­trial Inter­net of Things (IIoT) in the con­text of com­mu­ni­ca­tion and con­nec­tivity. The stu­dent is encou­ra­ged to par­ti­ci­pate in the advan­ce­ment of indus­trial com­mu­ni­ca­tion. He / she will assist the team in deve­lo­ping test frame­works that enable machine-to-machine (M2M) com­mu­ni­ca­tion. He / she is respon­si­ble for desi­gning the test cases rele­vant to the cur­rent pro­jects.

The stu­dent will deve­lop mea­ning­ful tests and deli­ver the results on a test plat­form.

Er­war­te­te Qua­li­fi­ka­tio­nen:

Requi­re­ments:

  • Stu­dy­ing Com­pu­ter Sci­ence or equi­va­lent.
  • Basics of com­pu­ter sci­ence;
  • Pro­gramming skills with C and Python
  • net­work know­ledge (e.g., TCP / IP);
  • very good know­ledge of Eng­lish and strong team­work;

Fur­ther, the stu­dent is requi­red to have know­ledge in the ver­sion con­trol sys­tems, e.g. GIT or with Enter­prise Con­tai­ner Plat­form soft­ware like Docker or in the admi­nis­tra­tion of Linux sys­tems.
