Milengo GmbH is one of Europe’s lea­ding lan­guage ser­vice pro­vi­ders, offe­ring trans­la­tion and loca­li­za­tion ser­vices to cli­ents in over 70 coun­tries. We cur­r­ently have about 80 employees working at our head­quar­ters, which are loca­ted at the heart of Ber­lin, Ger­many.

Train­ee­ship – Trans­la­tion Man­age­ment

We are in the pro­cess of expand­ing our Trans­la­tion Man­age­ment team, and are search­ing for can­did­ates who would like to fur­ther develop their pro­fes­sional skills in this area.
We are cur­rently seek­ing a full-time Trans­la­tion Man­age­ment Trainee to start imme­di­ately.

Work­ing field:

The Trans­la­tion Man­age­ment Depart­ment acts as a go-between for Milengo and external trans­la­tion ser­vice pro­viders. This depart­ment’s day-to-day work con­sists of con­tact­ing trans­lat­ors via e-mail and phone, alloc­at­ing pro­jects, plan­ning and man­aging trans­la­tion resources, and schedul­ing deliv­ery dead­lines.
Dur­ing your train­ee­ship, you will sup­port our Trans­la­tion Man­age­ment team and gain a great deal of insight into the trans­la­tion industry and agency work­flows.
This train­ee­ship is suit­able for sec­ond­ary school gradu­ates, as well as can­did­ates with a third-level qual­i­fic­a­tion, who are inter­ested in work­ing in the trans­la­tion industry in a pro­ject man­age­ment capa­city, but who have had little or no pro­fes­sional exper­i­ence in this field so far.
Over the course of this year-long train­ee­ship, we will help you to build up your pro­fes­sional expert­ise and gain con­fid­ence in flex­ibly find­ing solu­tions to trans­la­tion man­age­ment-related issues.
The exper­i­ence you will gain at Milengo will be indis­pens­able to your future career, espe­cially if you are plan­ning to work in trans­la­tion man­age­ment or pro­ject man­age­ment.
This train­ee­ship is designed to lead into a per­man­ent Trans­la­tion Man­ager pos­i­tion.

Your respons­ib­il­it­ies:
  • Man­aging and set­ting up mul­ti­lin­gual, CAT tool-sup­por­ted trans­la­tion pro­jects
  • Com­mis­sion­ing trans­la­tion ser­vices in coordin­a­tion with the Trans­la­tion Man­age­ment team, while factor­ing in trans­la­tion qual­ity and costs
  • Com­mu­nic­at­ing and work­ing in close cooper­a­tion with other depart­ments
  • Offer­ing in-house and external trans­lat­ors sup­port with pro­jects
  • Coordin­at­ing, man­aging, and car­ry­ing out qual­ity assur­ance meas­ures on trans­la­tion pro­jects

Require­ments:

Your qual­i­fic­a­tions:
  • Sec­ond­ary school leav­ing cer­ti­fic­ate
  • Strong com­mand of writ­ten and spoken Eng­lish and Ger­man
  • Effi­cient task and time man­age­ment, as well as excel­lent com­mu­nic­a­tion skills
  • Strong MS Office skills
  • A self-motiv­ated, ana­lyt­ical, and prag­matic approach to work
  • Prior exper­i­ence with loc­al­iz­a­tion tools is advant­age­ous
  • An avid interest in new soft­ware and tech­no­logy

Please note that this is a full-time pos­i­tion in which you will be expec­ted to work about 40 hours per week, and that you will receive a salary of € 1.593 gross per month.
This train­ee­ship lasts one year and is designed to lead to a per­man­ent pos­i­tion at our com­pany.
