Highly automated driving, electric mobility, infotainment in the car: You want to help shape the future of mobility? Then you are right with us. In the center of Berlin, we are developing future solutions for intelligent and connected mobility with and for Daimler R&D and are analyzing innovative applications for the improvement of vehicle traffic. Our close co-operation partners include major automotive manufacturers and suppliers, telecommunication suppliers and providers as well as national and international research institutes.
Active collaboration in our Scrum team for requirements assessment and story planning
Participation in the complete development process (design, implementation, testing, code reviews)
Development of solutions and conduct of investigations for our current research projects
Development and Testing of automated and connected driving function in the lab and with our research vehicles
Cooperation with our other teams and external project partners
Supervision of young academics (Bachelor, Master, Intern)
Scientific publications, presentations and demonstration of research results
Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in the fields of computer science, electrical engineering, IT systems engineering or comparable studies; very good degree desired
Very well-founded project and programming experience (focus on Java, Python or C ++), ideally participation in IT projects in the past
Advanced knowledge and interest in continuous integration development processes (Redmine, Git, Maven, Jenkins)
Expertise and interest in one of our research domains:
Modeling and handling of vehicle sensors (Positioning, LiDAR, Cameras, Communication as a Sensor, HD Maps)
Deep Learning, Experience and interest in current development (SSD, Mask-RCNN, DarkNet).
Self-responsive, goal-oriented and quality-conscious work, joy of teamwork
Proficiency in German and English
Driver’s license class B and driving experience is helpful
