Light­house Europe, LHE, is a boutique con­sul­tancy that spe­cial­ises in European strategy and pub­lic affairs. LHE helps cli­ents to under­stand and react to the impact of European and national legis­la­tion on their busi­nesses, and allows them to par­ti­cip­ate in decision-mak­ing pro­cesses.

Research Assist­ant and Account Exec­ut­ive

6-month train­ee­ship in Brus­sels, Bel­gium

Work­ing field:

Light­house Europe, a Brus­sels and Paris based pub­lic affairs con­sultancy, is offer­ing a 6 month-long train­ee­ship pro­gramme. The selec­ted can­did­ate will mainly provide sup­port to our Brus­sels office, start­ing as soon as pos­sible.

This pro­gram is inten­ded to provide a young pro­fes­sional with the oppor­tun­ity to gain:
(i) Exper­i­ence in a dynamic pub­lic affairs envir­on­ment,
(ii) Expos­ure to a broad range of EU and national act­ors, policies, and pro­cesses,
(iii) In-depth know­ledge of European policy debates.


  • Mas­ter degree in polit­ical sci­ence and/or eco­nom­ics and/or law
  • Prior work or aca­demic exper­i­ence in these fields
  • Excel­lent com­mand of Eng­lish and Ger­man, Span­ish and/or Italian (other lan­guages would be a plus)
  • Good know­ledge of policy-mak­ing at European level
  • Work exper­i­ence in EU and reg­u­lat­ory affairs would be a plus
  • Strong motiv­a­tion and will­ing­ness to learn
  • Good organ­isa­tional skills with the abil­ity to pri­or­it­ise
  • Good inter­per­sonal skills with the abil­ity to work in an inter­na­tional team
  • Good know­ledge of Microsoft Office pro­grams
  • Cus­tomer-ori­ent­ated
  • Abil­ity to work under pres­sure
  • Team player
