IHP is an institute of the Leibniz Association and conducts research and development of silicon-based systems and ultra high-frequency circuits and technologies including new materials. It develops innovative solutions for application areas such as wireless and broadband communication, security, medical technology, industry 4.0, automotive industry, and aerospace. IHP employs approximately 300 people. It operates a pilot line for technological developments and the preparation of high-speed circuits with 0.13/0.25 μm BiCMOS technologies, located in a 1000 m² class 1 cleanroom.
Internship or Master Thesis
RF Board Design
You will work closely with a team of scientists of the department Circuit Design.
The working group mm-Wave Wireless (MMWW) is focusing on design of integrated radar sensors.
You will emphasize on design of RF board and characterization of the board in anechoic chamber.
It can be chosen individually due to preferences and possibilities between an internship or writing your master thesis.
Studying Electrical Engineering or Informatics.
Basic experience in the field of digital design using VHDL/Verilog or programming of embedded systems.
Basic knowledge in digital signal processing
Proficiency in Matlab, ISE Webpack, Vivado or Quartus is very helpful.
Very good oral and written skills in English.
