The TU Dres­den is one of ele­ven Ger­man uni­ver­si­ties that were iden­ti­fied as an “excel­lence uni­ver­sity”. TUD has about 36.500 stu­dents and almost 5319 employees, 507 pro­fes­sors among them, and, thus, is the lar­gest uni­ver­sity in Sax­ony, today.

Having been com­mit­ted to sci­en­ces and the engi­nee­ring before the reuni­fi­ca­tion of Ger­many, TU Dres­den now is a multi-disci­pline uni­ver­sity, also offe­ring huma­nities and social sci­en­ces as well as medi­cine.

Rese­arch Asso­ciate

The posi­tion is star­ting at the ear­liest pos­si­ble date for a period of 3 years wit­hin the frame­work of a pro­ject fun­ded by the Ger­man Rese­arch Foun­da­tion. The period of employ­ment is gover­ned by the Fixed Term Rese­arch Con­tracts Act (Wis­sen­schafts­zeit­ver­trags­ge­setz - Wiss­ZeitVG).
The posi­tion offers the chance to obtain fur­ther aca­de­mic qua­li­fi­ca­tion (e.g. PhD / habi­li­ta­tion the­sis).

Work­ing field:

Rese­arch work on the pro­ject "Deve­lop­ment of Com­plex Beha­vior in Mem­ris­tor Cel­lu­lar Neu­ral Net­works".


very good to good uni­ver­sity degree in the field of electri­cal engi­nee­ring, phy­sics or rela­ted fields; ability and wil­ling­ness for inde­pen­dent, con­cep­tual work in a team; inte­rest in prac­tice-ori­en­ted, inter­di­sci­pli­nary coope­ra­tion with coope­ra­tion part­ners from indus­try; good Ger­man and Eng­lish skills. Advan­ta­ge­ous are know­ledge of Mem­ris­tors with non­linear sys­tems and methods for the ana­ly­sis and mode­ling of non­linear dyna­mi­cal sys­tems.
