The Group Ion Induced Nanostructures is looking for a
Postdoc (f/m/d) Advanced focused ion beam applications
Working field:
- Implementation of IBC user experiments and scientific collaboration with IBC and RIANA users
- Develop and strengthen your own FIB centric research profile
- Interaction with RIANA ion beam users during the preparation, implementation and interpretation of their experiments (within the RIANA project)
- Presentation and publication of results at meetings, conferences and scientific papers
- Outreach and user acquisition for FIB based materials modification and analysis
Requirements:
- Completed university studies (PhD) in the field of solid state physics, materials science or comparable natural sciences
- An excellent PhD degree in Physics, Materials science or a related field
- Hands-on experience in the operation of FIB instruments
- Good knowledge of the underlying ion beam physics
- The ability to lead the development of new experimental techniques based on FIBs
- Very good teamwork skills with ability to collaborate with experimentalists and theorists
- Very good English language skills (spoken and written)
