The Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine (MDC) in the Helmholtz Association is an international biomedical research center dedicated to understanding the molecular mechanisms of health and disease with the goal to devise new diagnostics and medicines. The MDC is a member of the Helmholtz Association, Germany's largest scientific organization, and offers an engaging research environment with cutting-edge research infrastructure. The Career Center of the Max Delbrück Center is searching for an employee (m/f/d) with a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion to start as soon as possible. With your organizational and interpersonal skills, you will support the organization of events, the maintenance of the alumni database, the creation of social media content, as well as initiatives on diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Working field:

Support of Max Delbrück Center DEI, Career Service & Alumni Relations activities:

  • Support with initiatives on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion topics (events, social media)
  • Organization of career and networking events
  • Maintenance of the Alumni database
  • Creation of content for social media and the networking platform MDC Connect
  • Compilation of statistics and reports


  • Enrolment at a university is a prerequisite; a background in biosciences (or a similar field) is advantageous
  • Outstanding organizational and interpersonal communication skills
  • Fluency in English, and German knowledge is a plus
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel
  • Excellent knowledge of online graphic design tools (e.g. Canva)
  • Good knowledge of social media platforms
  • Basic programming skills in R are a plus
