Der Forschungsbereich für Adaptive Rationalität (ARC) vereint eine interdisziplinäre, internationale Forschergruppe, die sich aus Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftlern der Psychologie, Neurowissenschaften, Ökonomie, Philosophie, Biologie und Mathematik zusammensetzt. Wir untersuchen, wie Menschen und andere Lebewesen – ausgestattet mit begrenzten kognitiven Ressourcen – in der Welt und im Gedächtnis nach Informationen suchen und wie sie Entscheidungen treffen, wenn wenig Zeit für sorgfältiges Nachdenken bleibt.

The center for Adaptive Rationality directed by Ralph Hertwig at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development is seeking applicants for a position as
Student Research Assistant to assist the ongoing research in all phases of the scientific process. Research assistants are usually employed on a basis of 41-80h a month. Position lasts for 6 months minimum and can be prolonged given mutual interest. Anticipated start date is June 1st 2023 or later by agreement.

What we offer:
The research center for Adaptive Rationality is investigating various aspects of judgment and decision making. We offer you the chance to participate in an international and interdisciplinary research team. The position is to assist our research on the socio ecological drivers of human foraging in the wild using icefishers (see for more info:
https://youtu.be/0G5nO6qlnoM). A core component of the activities is to analyze video data using event logging software (
