Water Integ­rity Net­work

The Water Integ­rity Net­work (WIN) sup­ports and con­nects an open net­work of part­ner indi­vidu­als, organ­iz­a­tions, and gov­ern­ments pro­mot­ing water integ­rity to reduce cor­rup­tion, and improve water sec­tor per­form­ance world­wide. WIN designs and imple­ments a wide range of edu­ca­tional mater­ial and train­ing pro­grams in cooper­a­tion with part­ners in Asia, Africa and Latin Amer­ica.

Capa­city Build­ing and Know­ledge Man­age­ment

Working field:


Capa­city Build­ing
  • Con­trib­ute to the devel­op­ment of edu­ca­tional mater­i­als for the Integ­rity Man­age­ment Tool­box (IMT) and the Tool­box for Small Water Sup­ply Sys­tems
  • Research, edit and format texts
  • Man­age com­mu­nic­a­tion with dif­fer­ent part­ners
  • Main­tain an archive for capa­city build­ing
  • Provide sup­port to the devel­op­ment of online courses

Know­ledge Man­age­ment
  • Sup­port devel­op­ment and imple­ment­a­tion of the WIN know­ledge man­age­ment strategy
  • Liaise with WIN col­leagues to gather updates on know­ledge man­age­ment


The Work­ing Stu­dent/ Intern must be enrolled in a uni­versity pro­gram in Ger­many, ideally based
in Ber­lin. Can­did­ates from out­side of Ger­many can apply, provided that they have a valid work
per­mit to work in Ger­many. WIN will not cover any costs asso­ci­ated with relo­ca­tion to Ber­lin.
Qual­i­fied can­did­ates must meet the fol­low­ing essen­tial require­ments:
  • Con­tent know­ledge famili­ar­ity with WIN’s themes (e.g., anti-cor­rup­tion, water gov­ernance, rule of law, civil soci­ety, human rights, gender and social inclu­sion, util­ity com­pan­ies) by way of formal edu­ca­tion and train­ing
  • Excel­lent writ­ing and com­mu­nic­a­tion skills
  • Strong com­puter skills
  • Good Eng­lish lan­guage skills, know­ledge of Span­ish or French desir­able

  • Good skills in Adobe Cre­at­ive Suite (InDes­ign, Illus­trator, Pho­toshop) or any design pro­gram
  • Famili­ar­ity with social media
  • Pro­fes­sional exper­i­ence in design­ing and imple­ment­ing edu­ca­tional formats (e.g. film doc­u­ment­ar­ies, manu­als, exhib­i­tions, hand­books, aware­ness cam­paigns, etc.)
  • Mas­ter’s stud­ies in a rel­ev­ant field (e.g., anthro­po­logy, human geo­graphy, polit­ical sci­ences, envir­on­mental man­age­ment, urban stud­ies)
