YAPU Solu­tions

YAPU Solu­tions is a young, Ber­lin-based fintech with strong eth­ical and busi­ness val­ues. We make it our mis­sion to address cli­mate change-related chal­lenges in devel­op­ing coun­tries. We achieve this by offer­ing SaaS solu­tions to microfin­ance insti­tu­tions and banks that enable them to digit­al­ize their pro­cesses, bet­ter under­stand risk and offer bet­ter, more afford­able products to their small­holder farmer cli­ents. We assist the fin­an­cial sec­tor on this jour­ney by provid­ing tar­geted con­sult­ing ser­vices on the top­ics of green and cli­mate-smart fin­ance. We lay the found­a­tions for triple bot­tom line report­ing and improve access to fin­ance in devel­op­ing coun­tries. With a second office in Ecuador, our cur­rent oper­a­tions cover Costa Rica, Colom­bia, El Sal­vador, Domin­ican Repub­lic, Guatem­ala as well as Benin, Senegal and Burk­ina Faso. The product depart­ment per­forms a cent­ral role, align­ing between busi­ness and the tech­nical side of the com­pany, by trans­lat­ing needs and deliv­er­ing of developed solu­tions. Com­mu­nic­a­tion with sales- and oper­a­tional staff in Latin Amer­ica and Sub-Saha­ran Africa is there­fore key. Enthu­si­asm for soft­ware- and data ser­vices is essen­tial, pro­gram­ming or data sci­ence skills are not required.

  • Coordin­at­ing smal­ler, new product item releases and sup­port­ing big­ger item releases.
  • Sup­port­ing the devel­op­ment of new busi­ness require­ments. This includes among oth­ers the com­mu­nic­a­tion with rel­ev­ant internal stake­hold­ers and review of received require­ments.
  • Assist­ing the qual­ity assur­ance of developed new soft­ware func­tion­al­it­ies, by refin­ing test frame­works and review­ing test res­ults.
  • Aid­ing the devel­op­ment of product related mater­i­als, such as release notes, train­ing out­lines, manu­als, product sheets and monthly report­ing.
  • Provid­ing assist­ance to review, struc­ture and sum­mar­ize feed­back from cli­ent inter­views and UX research.
  • Con­duct­ing product related research on data­sets, com­pet­it­ors, new soft­ware- and data solu­tions.

Your Qual­i­fic­a­tions
  • Enrolled in uni­versity. Pref­er­ence for Mas­ter’s stu­dent, with busi­ness, fin­ance or tech­nical focus
  • Proven pas­sion for impact-driven busi­ness and fin­ance
  • Pro­fi­ciency in Eng­lish and Span­ish, French a strong Plus
  • Exper­i­ence with bank­ing and/or agri­cul­tural sec­tor in the global south would be an asset
  • Proven enthu­si­asm for soft­ware ser­vices
  • High atten­tion to detail, with abil­ity to self-dir­ect and pri­or­it­ize dif­fer­ent but sim­ul­tan­eous sets of tasks or pro­jects
  • Strong tech­nical skills with MS Office suite
  • Men­tal flex­ib­il­ity to grasp dif­fer­ing con­cepts and ideas
