Berlin Institute of Health @Charité - QUEST Center

The position is located at the QUEST Center for Transforming Biomedical Research at the Berlin Institute of Health @Charité within the CAMARADES group. The goal of QUEST is to optimize biomedical research in terms of scientific methodology, bioethics, and research accessibility. The team CAMARADES uses systematic review and meta-analysis to analyse published preclinical literature, providing
important information on factors that may be contributing to translational failure.
Ischaemic stroke is a leading cause of death and disability worldwide, however attempts to develop new treatments using preclinical models have been unsuccessful. In stroke research, an important consideration is how well we model relevant patient characteristics.
Understanding the impact of these modelling choices will help to help inform future research with improved potential for translation.

What we offer:

We offer the opportunity to join CAMARADES (Collaborative Approach to Meta-Analysis and Review of Animal Data from Experimental Studies), a friendly research team within the BIH QUEST Center for Transforming Biomedical Research. We use the meta-research tools, preclinical systematic review and meta-analysis, to investigate some of the challenges of translational biomedical research.
