Salary group may be upgraded to Entgeltgruppe 14 TV-L Berliner Hochschulen if certain performance conditions are met, e.g., success in securing external project funding and research project leadership with personnel management.

Work­ing field:

The selected Postdoctoral Fellows will have opportunities to work in an enriching interdisciplinary environment, with significant potential for broad impact in terms of technology development, industry involvement, and educational initiatives. He/she is expected to develop an independent research program around the topics of the Advanced ERC Grant CARENET (PI Prof. Caire), focused on Wireless-Edge Caching, Cache-Aided physical layer solutions, massive content distribution over wireless networks. The Postdoctoral Fellows will serve in a leadership role with respect to mentoring of students research at the BS, MS and PhD level within the research project.

Require­ments:

Candidates must have received a Ph.D. degree in a field related to Science of Information, for example: Information Theory, Communication Systems and Networks, Channel Coding, Source Coding, Statistical Signal Processing, Machine Learning, Communication/Computer Networking, Content Distribution Networks and Caching, Convex/Combinatorial Optimization, Graph Theory and Stochastic Geometry. Candidates must have a solid track record of research in one or more areas related to the research agenda of the Chair, and have excellent English oral and written communication skills (proficiency in German is a plus).
