Rese­arch Assist­ant - salary grade E 13 TV-L Ber­liner Hoch­schu­len

under the reserve that funds are granted; part-time employment may be possible

Work­ing field:

Research within a DFG project in the field of computational geometry, specifically in calculating space partitioning from given boundary representations and decomposition into building components; the field of application are digital building models; possibility to obtain a PhD degree.

The research project is conducted in cooperation with Prof. Suter, Institute of Architectural Sciences, TU Wien, and Prof. Hartmann, Department of Civil Engineering, TU Berlin.

Require­ments:

  • Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in engineering, computer sciences, mathematics or related fields
  • Very good knowledge in computational geometry
  • Experiences in object oriented programming, preferably Java or C#
  • The ability to work in a team, excellent communication skills, and a high motivation to bring own ideas to the project
  • Knowledge in existing modeling tools such as Autodesk Revit or Nemetschek Allplan are desired.
  • Good English language skills are expected; good knowledge of German or the willingness to learn them
