Auf­ga­ben­be­sch­rei­bung:

Descrip­tion: Pen­ding on final appro­val, the Leib­niz-Zen­trum All­ge­meine Sprach­wis­sen­schaft (ZAS) in Ber­lin invi­tes app­li­ca­ti­ons for a three year post­doc posi­tion in the area of lan­guage docu­men­ta­tion and lan­guage typo­logy for a pro­ject on the deve­lop­ment of cri­te­ria and stan­dards for the cura­tion of anno­ta­ted audio­vi­sual lan­guage data. In col­la­bo­ra­tion with part­ners at the Uni­ver­si­tät Ham­burg, the Uni­ver­si­tät zu Köln, the Insti­tut für Deut­sche Spra­che (Mann­heim) and the End­an­ge­red Lan­guages Docu­men­ta­tion Pro­gramme (ELDP, Lon­don), the app­li­cant will deve­lop ope­ra­tio­nal cri­te­ria for the cura­tion of anno­ta­ted audio­vi­sual data, typi­cally of small lan­guages, that make them acces­si­ble for lin­gu­is­tic, in par­ti­cu­lar typo­lo­gi­cal, rese­arch. Wit­hin ZAS, the app­li­cant will work in col­la­bo­ra­tion with the DoReCo pro­ject (http://www.leibniz-zas.de/doreco.html).

Er­war­te­te Qua­li­fi­ka­tio­nen:

We are loo­king for a per­son with expe­ri­ence in lan­guage docu­men­ta­tion, cor­pus buil­ding, lan­guage archi­ving, and in lan­guage typo­logy and lin­gu­is­tic theory. A working know­ledge of Ger­man is a plus.
