This is primarily a scientific position in the Distributed Security Infrastructures group. In particular, the position involves working on and the representation of an interdisciplinary project on privacy-compliant people analytics. The ideal candidate will conduct research in the fields of Distributed Security, Privacy-Enhancing Technologies, Software Engineering, and related topics. This specifically includes the implementation of system prototypes and the publication of scientific papers. The position includes the option to prepare a PhD thesis in the mentioned research areas.
Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in computer science with a focus on communication systems or software engineering
Experience in at least one of the research areas: Distributed Ledger Technologies, Cryptography, Distributed Security, Privacy-Enhancing Technologies, and personal data protection/privacy.
Deep understanding of process modeling
Knowledge on state-of-the-art anonymization techniques, data base systems, data integration and access control methods
Excellent programming skills and experience in development/administration of distributed systems
Passion for new technologies, system development, and distributed system experiments
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Very good written and oral language skills in English (at least C1) and German (at least B2)
Willingness to conduct interdisciplinary research
