IHP GmbH - Leibniz-Institut für innovative Mikroelektronik - Circuit Design
IHP is an institute of the Leibniz Association and conducts research and development of silicon-based systems and high-frequency circuits and technologies including new materials. It develops innovative solutions for application areas such as wireless and broadband communication, security, medical technology, industry 4.0, automotive industry, and aerospace. IHP employs approximately 330 people. It operates a pilot line for technological developments and the preparation of high-speed circuits with 0.13/0.25 μm BiCMOS technologies, located in a 1000 m² class 1 cleanroom.
You will work closely with a team of scientists of the department Circuit Design
The working group mm-Wave Wireless (MMWW) is working on the design of integrated radar sensors
Your research will focus on the development of a baseband board with hard- and software components as well as the verification of its functionality using an FMCW radar system
It can be chosen individually due to preferences and possibilities between an internship or writing your master thesis
Studying Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
Extended experience in the field of multi-layer PCB design with various CAD design software tools
Proficiency in designing analog and mixed-signal circuits
Fundamental knowledge in microcontroller programming with C/C++
Basic experience of signal processing
Very good oral and written skills in English
