Work­ing field:

  • rese­arch of soci­olo­gic aspects of human-robot inter­ac­tion with huma­noid as well as non huma­noid robots. The focus is on the empir­ical invest­ig­a­tion of haptic inter­ac­tions with robots.
  • trans­fer of insights bet­ween the dis­cip­lines Soci­ology, Robot­ics, Inter­ac­tion Design or Beha­vi­oral Bio­logy
  • pub­lic out­reach activ­it­ies such as open lab days and invi­ted pre­sent­a­tions
  • invest­ig­a­tion of techno-soci­olo­gic insights in part­ner pro­jects
  • coor­din­a­tion of part­ners in the group's rese­arch net­work
  • man­age­ment and guid­ance of the group mem­bers from the soci­ology dis­cip­line (one PhD, one stu­dent assist­ant)

Require­ments:

  • suc­cess­fully com­ple­ted uni­ver­sity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) and PhD in soci­ology or a rela­ted dis­cip­line is neces­sary
  • know­ledge of the field of soci­ology of tech­no­logy, espe­cially its meth­ods is neces­sary
  • exper­i­ence and know­ledge of soci­olo­gical stud­ies with or about robots is requi­red
desi­red:
  • prac­tical work exper­i­ence with robot sys­tems
  • exper­i­ence in pub­lic out­reach activ­it­ies
  • exper­i­ence in inter­dis­cip­lin­ary work with tech­nical and quant­it­at­ive sci­ences
  • good com­mand of Eng­lish lan­guage, basic com­mand of Ger­man lan­guage
