In the cen­ter of Ber­lin, we are devel­op­ing future solu­tions for intel­li­gent and con­nec­ted mobil­ity with and for Daimler R&D and are ana­lyz­ing innov­at­ive applic­a­tions for the improve­ment of vehicle traffic. Our close co-oper­a­tion part­ners include major auto­mot­ive man­u­fac­tur­ers and sup­pli­ers, tele­com­mu­nic­a­tion sup­pli­ers and pro­viders as well as national and inter­na­tional research insti­tutes.

Work­ing field:

  • Act­ive col­lab­or­a­tion in our Scrum team for require­ments assess­ment and story plan­ning
  • Par­ti­cip­a­tion in the com­plete devel­op­ment pro­cess (design, imple­ment­a­tion, test­ing, code reviews)
  • Devel­op­ment of solu­tions and con­duct of invest­ig­a­tions for our cur­rent research pro­jects
  • Devel­op­ment and Test­ing of auto­mated and con­nec­ted driv­ing func­tion in the lab and with our research vehicles
  • Cooper­a­tion with our other teams and external pro­ject part­ners
  • Super­vi­sion of young aca­dem­ics (Bach­elor, Mas­ter, Intern)
  • Sci­entific pub­lic­a­tions, present­a­tions and demon­stra­tion of research res­ults


  • Suc­cess­fully com­pleted uni­versity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) in the fields of com­puter sci­ence, elec­trical engin­eer­ing, IT sys­tems engin­eer­ing or com­par­able stud­ies; very good degree desired
  • Very well-foun­ded pro­ject and pro­gram­ming exper­i­ence (focus on Java, Python or C ++), ideally par­ti­cip­a­tion in IT pro­jects in the past
  • Advanced know­ledge and interest in con­tinu­ous integ­ra­tion devel­op­ment pro­cesses (Red­mine, Git, Maven, Jen­kins)
  • Expert­ise and interest in one of our research domains:
  • Mod­el­ing and hand­ling of vehicle sensors (Pos­i­tion­ing, LiDAR, Cam­eras, Com­mu­nic­a­tion as a Sensor, HD Maps)
  • Deep Learn­ing, Exper­i­ence and interest in cur­rent devel­op­ment (SSD, Mask-RCNN, DarkNet).
  • Self-respons­ive, goal-ori­ented and qual­ity-con­scious work, joy of team­work
  • Pro­fi­ciency in Ger­man and Eng­lish
  • Driver’s license class B and driv­ing exper­i­ence is help­ful
