Busi­ness Intel­li­gence & Data Ana­lyst

Intern / Stu­dent, Part-time · Ber­lin

Work­ing field:

The main object­ive of the role is to sup­port the Busi­ness Intel­li­gence team, either on a part- or full-time basis, to cre­ate action­able insights on the data that we have. This typ­ic­ally includes the fol­low­ing tasks:

  • Make reports and visu­al­iz­a­tions to bet­ter under­stand users, usage pat­terns, and help guide busi­ness decisions
  • Pull and organ­ize data from data­bases or APIs
  • Able to ana­lyze avail­able data and act­ively report find­ings and prob­lems to the respect­ive stake­hold­ers
  • Bring up requests to our tech/BI team about new data fea­ture requests either within the app or from other data sources
  • You main­tain the tech­nical infra­struc­ture (DWH, APIs, Report­ing), imple­ment new pro­cesses, and optim­ize work­flows
  • You mon­itor and eval­u­ate incom­ing data, identify incon­sist­en­cies in data flows and work­flows, and find prag­matic solu­tions to over­come prob­lems
  • You apply all your know­ledge above and bey­ond your expert­ise and aren't afraid of rolling up your sleeves and get­ting your hands dirty

Require­ments:

We appre­ci­ate ded­ic­a­tion and kind­ness in our team and have a prag­matic and res­ults-driven approach. For this role, we are look­ing in par­tic­u­lar for a skill set with the fol­low­ing char­ac­ter­ist­ics:

  • You are pas­sion­ate about health and data
  • Cur­rently in the pro­cess of com­plet­ing a Bach­elor or Mas­ter degree in tech/sci­ence related or other sub­jects with sig­ni­fic­ant math­em­at­ical, stat­ist­ical or sci­entific focus
  • Ana­lyt­ical mind­set and the abil­ity to learn and even­tu­ally, handle com­plex data­base quer­ies your­self (SQL)
  • Strong interest in tech­nical top­ics (Data, BI, Ana­lyt­ics etc.) and will­ing­ness to learn
  • Hands-on atti­tude and not afraid of diving into new and unknown top­ics
  • Will­ing­ness to make decisions and take on respons­ib­il­ity for products and pro­jects
  • Pro­gram­ming skills (Python), exper­i­ence with data archi­tec­ture/infra­struc­ture (AWS) and/or track­ing and report­ing tools are a plus
  • Some pro­fes­sional work­ing exper­i­ence in a related field of expert­ise is a plus
