  • Par­ti­cip­a­tion in research pro­jects and pub­lic­a­tions of research res­ults
  • Act­ive par­ti­cip­a­tion in grant pro­posal writ­ing
  • PhD thesis pre­par­a­tion is pos­sible


  • Suc­cess­fully com­pleted uni­versity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) in Com­puter Sci­ence
  • Exper­i­ence in the fol­low­ing areas is com­puls­ory: design and ana­lysis of algorithms, com­pu­ta­tional com­plex­ity, data reduc­tion and prob­lem ker­nels, para­met­er­ized algorithms
  • Exper­i­ence in the fol­low­ing areas is prefer­able: algorithmic graph the­ory, dis­crete meth­ods, algorithm engin­eer­ing
  • pro­fi­ciency in writ­ing and speak­ing Ger­man and Eng­lish
