Work­ing field:

  • Pro­motes Corn­ing’s products and ser­vices to exist­ing cus­tom­ers to dif­fer­en­ti­ate Corn­ing in the mar­ket place and secure new or extend exist­ing selling oppor­tun­it­ies
  • Closes sales oppor­tun­it­ies through align­ing cus­tom­ers’ expect­a­tions with the divi­sion’s abil­ity to deliver
  • Main­tains fre­quent con­tact with the cus­tomer to strengthen the rela­tion­ship, con­tinu­ally assess Corn­ing’s effect­ive­ness in meet­ing the cus­tomer’s needs, and ulti­mately max­im­ize sales pen­et­ra­tion and cus­tomer reten­tion
  • Cus­tom­izes present­a­tions and mar­ket­ing col­lat­eral to fit the cus­tomer’s tech­nical needs
  • Col­lects mar­ket, cus­tomer, and com­pet­itor intel­li­gence and insights and dis­sem­in­ates this know­ledge across the func­tion to inform sales, mar­ket­ing, and tech­nical strategies
  • Sup­ports exist­ing cus­tom­ers with issues related to logist­ics, qual­i­fic­a­tion, and / or a vari­ety of con­trac­tual terms
  • Edu­cates cus­tom­ers and keeps cus­tom­ers up-to-date on product changes and new product offer­ings
  • May work across coun­tries, ensur­ing that Corn­ing is rep­res­en­ted favor­ably and con­sist­ently across the region
  • May involve applic­a­tion of know­ledge and meth­ods for under­stand­ing phys­ical phe­nom­ena to achieve spe­cified char­ac­ter­ist­ics and cri­teria for products and pro­cesses
  • Encom­passes sci­entific and tech­no­lo­gical prin­ciples involved in product design and qual­ity require­ments, with an emphasis on com­pat­ib­il­ity between the product and poten­tial applic­a­tions
  • Spe­cific­a­tion nego­ti­ation, imple­ment­a­tion and main­ten­ance
  • Sup­port for develop and growth AO busi­nesses in EMEA and Rus­sia
  • Inter­face with tech­nical teams and plants world­wide

Require­ments:

  • Tech­nical degree, prefer­ably in optics, optical com­mu­nic­a­tion, phys­ics or chem­istry
  • Strong inter­per­sonal and com­mu­nic­a­tion skills
  • Team player with high integ­rity and strong drive
  • Flu­ent com­mand of the Eng­lish and Ger­man lan­guage
  • Abil­ity to com­mu­nic­ate in French and/or Rus­sian is a plus
  • Work exper­i­ence in a mat­rix organ­iz­a­tion would be bene­fi­cial
  • Will­ing to travel extens­ively
