Collaboration in research and teaching. Development of analytical methods and biological approaches to understand proteome-wide protein interaction networks in microorganisms to elucidate and explain the molecular basis of life. Participation in specialist conferences through presentations.

• Successfully completed scientific university degree (Master, Diploma or equivalent) in biology and doctorate with molecular microbiological content
• Research experience in the fields of molecular microbiology, metabolic processes, proteomics with a focus on protein interactions and the validation of structural predictions
• Proven knowledge and several years of practical experience in the investigation of molecular processes in bacteria, especially Bacillus subtilis
• Experience in the organisation and guidance of practical experiments as well as in the supervision of interns, Bachelor and Master students incl. supervision of final theses
• The ability to teach in German and/or English is required; willingness to acquire the missing language skills in each case
• Publication experience (peer-reviewed)

Desirable:

• Organisational skills
• Laboratory experience, especially with the infrastructure required for proteomics
