Technische Universität Berlin is currently advertising the following position(s):

Student assistant (40 hours per month)

Working field:

The excellence cluster SCIOI (www.scienceofintelligence.de) would like to recruit motivated students for the project 'Visual information sampling', targeting a better understanding of the mechanisms of visual attention in humans and synthetic systems. Successful applicants will be integrated into an interdisciplinary team of scientists and students. The main task will be the evaluation and analysis of eye-tracking and corresponding video data (50-100%). In addition, depending on the skills and interest of the apllicants, possible tasks include programming hardware and software developed at the chair for a synthetic model of visual attention.

Requirements:

  • documented experience in independent project-related work and proven programming experience (e.g. in form of corresponding modules)
  • good programming skills in Python
  • Good knowledge of German and/or English required; willingness to acquire the respective missing language skills.

Might:

  • experience with eye-tracking data, robotics (ROS) and/or computer vision
  • strong interest in human and machine vision
