The position is based at the BIH QUEST Center for Responsible Research, which aims to increase value and reduce waste in biomedical research. The student assistant will work with members of the Meta-research and Automated Screening Group to conduct studies, and contribute to the development of new tools designed to screen scientific papers for common problems. Student assistant activities may extend into a masters thesis project. Applicants should note that meta-research is different from meta-analysis. Meta-research, or science of science, can help us to improve science by identifying common problems with the design, conduct, analysis and reporting of scientific studies. We can use this information to develop targeted solutions to improve scientific research.
