Working field:

You are located at the TU Berlin at the Department of Industrial Information Technology and are involved in the interdisciplinary field of product development. As a valuable member of our team of the chair, you will not only inspire the students but also make a significant contribution to the future of information and process control, the circular economy, and sustainable product development in science and industry. You will take responsibility for teaching courses in which you explain and exercise methodological approaches and use relevant tools to promote sustainable product development. With your expertise and enthusiasm, you will help us to maintain the highest level of teaching quality and to continuously research and develop future socio-technical solutions for virtual product creation and for digitalization along the full lifecycle. Together we will take the following steps towards a sustainable future and develop solutions for the challenges of our time.
The holder of the position represents his or her subjects on representative national and international conferences, fairs and workshops through scientific presentations and demonstrations. He or she guides student workers. You also will stay in close contact with innovations in industry.

Requirements:

  • Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in the field of computer science, information technology in mechanical engineering, mechanical / vehicle engineering, data management in product development and production, digital engineering, or similar.
  • Very good knowledge in the areas of artificial intelligence, product data management, process modelling, product development and information technology
  • Sufficient language proficiency to teach classes in German and/or English ist required; willingness to learn either English oder German is expected

Desirable:

  • Interest in innovative and sustainable engineering with digital tools
  • Well structured, communicative, and flexible working approach
  • Knowledge in the teaching of courses as well as in the cooperation with students
