Research Associate (PostDoc) - salary grade 13 TV-L Berliner Hochschulen - 2nd qualification period (Habilitation)

Part-time employment may be possible

Working field:

  • Research on macroeconomic topics, particularly: transmission channels of monetary policy and price adjustment processes and/or ecologically sustainable growth.
  • Teaching in macroeconomics with a special emphasis on sustainable growth. Eventually exercise classes in monetary economics, international economics, or financial crises with a teaching duty in accordance with the regulations in LVVO.
  • Supervision of Bachelor and Master theses.
  • Opportunity to do a habilitation or to acquire an equivalent status of qualification for a full professorship.
  • Opportunity to become a member of the „Research Associates Program“ of the Berlin School of Economics (BSE).

  • Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in economics and PhD
  • Excellent knowledge in micro- and macroeconomic methods, statistics, and game theory
  • The ability to teach in German and/or in English is required; willingness to acquire the respective missing language skills.

Extra qualifications:

  • Experience in experimental economics and data analysis are an advantage
  • High level of independence and commitment as well as ability to work in a team
