Research Assistant - salary grade E13 TV-L Berliner Hochschulen - 1st qualification period (PhD candidate)

part-time employment may be possible

Working field:

Teaching assistance at the Institute of Mathematics (Mathematical Stochastics) of weekly 4 hours (in full-time contracts); participation in running research projects as well as own research in the area of Stochastics. Organization and teaching of exercise sessions and seminars.

Requirements:

  • At the time of hire, proof of successfully completed degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in Mathematics must be submitted
  • in-depth knowledge in stochastic analysis, in particular stochastic (partial) differential equations or evolution equations
  • additional knowledge in the field of stochastic control theory, partial differential equations or evolution equations is desirable
  • The ability to teach in German and/or in English is required; willingness to acquire the respective missing language skills
