Working field:
- Participation in the research project TRACE4EU focusing on the traceability of data and documents utilizing the European Blockchain Services Infrastructure (EBSI)
- Adjacent research areas are blockchain and distributed ledger technologies (DLT) as the key technologies for the implementation of long-term preservation of data and documents using decentralized identifiers (DID), DID documents, and verifiable credentials
- Participation in national and international working groups to design and standardize technical components related to SSI and future long-term preservation technologies
- Mentoring student workers and students theses within the research project
- Doctoral graduation option

Requirements:
- Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in computer science or a related field
- Experience with distributed systems, middleware, and database technologies
- Programming experiences in at least one programming language, such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or Solidity
- First experiences with distributed ledger technologies (e.g., Hyperledger, Ethereum, or similar) are desirable
- First experiences in digital identities, electronic signatures, and seals are desirable
- Very good skills in abstraction, modeling, and finding creative solutions
- Goal-oriented and self-organized work attitude
- Proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken
