The Multisensory Integration group is dedicated to the study of electrophysiological signals in sensory and cognitive information processing in the human brain. We study these processes in healthy individuals and in mentally ill people. A major focus of our research is the investigation of neuronal synchronizations and their significance in norm- appropriate and norm-deviant information processing. Our studies are conducted at St. Hedwig Hospital, which houses a state-of-the-art EEG system (128 channels).
