Research Assistant - salary grade E13 TV-L Berliner Hochschulen

under the reserve that funds are granted; part-time employment may be possible

Working field:

Participation in research related to: Computer Networks (with special focus on wireless networks) and Distributed Systems in the research project: DyMoNet: Dynamic Mobile Networks.
PhD thesis preparation is possible.

Requirements:

  • Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or in a related area
  • deep understanding of wireless networking principles
  • excellent programming experience (Python, C++, Matlab)
  • very strong Linux expertise
  • strong mathematical background
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English; German knowledge would be preferable.
  • Enthusiasm for leading-edge research
  • a mix of creativity and persistence, and team spirit are essential.
