Die Mis­sion des Leib­niz-Zen­trums für Agrar­land­schafts­for­schung (ZALF) e. V. als natio­nal und inter­na­tio­nal agie­ren­des For­schungs­zen­trum ist es, an der öko­no­misch, öko­lo­gisch und sozial nach­hal­ti­gen Land­wirt­schaft der Zukunft zu for­schen – gemein­sam mit Akteu­ren aus der Wis­sen­schaft, Poli­tik und Pra­xis. Das ZALF ist Mit­glied der Leib­niz-Gemein­schaft und unter­hält neben dem Haupt­stand­ort in Mün­che­berg (ca. 35 Minu­ten mit der Regio­nal­bahn von Ber­lin-Lich­ten­berg) eine For­schungs­sta­tion mit wei­te­ren Stand­or­ten in Dede­low sowie Pau­li­nen­aue.

Working field:

The BMBF-fun­ded pro­ject Sus­tain­able Water-Sav­ing Irrig­a­tion Tech­no­lo­gies for Achiev­ing Water, Energy and Food Secur­ity in the Con­text of Cli­mate Change in Uzbek­istan (SusWEF) aims to improve exist­ing policies and cross-sec­toral strategies through per­form­ing sus­tain­ab­il­ity research on water- and energy-sav­ing tech­no­lo­gies and sup­port­ing soil health in the con­text of cli­mate change. The spe­cific object­ive of the pro­ject is to study the impacts of intro­du­cing water- and energy-sav­ing irrig­a­tion tech­no­lo­gies in Uzbek­istan and explore poten­tial rebound effects.

  • lit­er­at­ure ana­lysis, screen­ing and sum­mar­iz­ing of text doc­u­ments
  • sup­port SusWEF pro­ject coordin­a­tion
  • organ­iz­a­tion of kick-off meet­ing in Tashkent (Janu­ary/Feb­ru­ary 2023) and note tak­ing of meet­ings there
  • inde­pend­ent com­mu­nic­a­tion with pro­ject mem­bers
  • cre­ation of graphic mater­ial and present­a­tions
  • main­ten­ance of pro­ject web­site
  • sup­port in manuscript writ­ing
  • assist in report writ­ing to the fund­ing organ­iz­a­tion

Requirements:

  • Bach­elor degree in agro­nomy, envir­on­mental sci­ence, agroe­co­logy, or sim­ilar
  • very good self-organ­iz­a­tion skills and reli­ab­il­ity
  • very good com­mu­nic­a­tion skills, in par­tic­u­lar with elec­tronic formats
  • flu­ent spoken and writ­ten Eng­lish, Ger­man is of advant­age
  • very good skills with MS Office
  • cap­able to do team work, flex­ib­il­ity and will­ing­ness to learn about new things/skills
