At the Insti­tute of Radioon­co­logy – OncoRay sci­ent­ists (f/m/d) spe­cial­iz­ing in medi­cine, phys­ics, bio­logy and IT work together to cru­cially improve the treat­ment of can­cer by admin­is­ter­ing radi­ation ther­apy that is bio­lo­gic­ally-per­son­al­ized and tech­nic­ally-optim­ized.

As part of the Insti­tute, the Depart­ment of Radiobi­o­logy invites applic­a­tions as PhD Stu­dent (f/m/d) Research group Molecu­lar and Cel­lu­lar Radiobi­o­logy.

The pos­i­tion will be avail­able from 1 Decem­ber 2022. The employ­ment con­tract is lim­ited to three years.

PhD Stu­dent (f/m/d) Research group Molecu­lar and Cel­lu­lar Radiobi­o­logy

Working field:

  • Hand­ling of cell cul­tures, primary cell cul­tures/organoids/can­cer stem cells
  • Meth­ods of Cell and Molecu­lar Bio­logy
  • Bioin­form­atic ana­lysis of omics data sets

Requirements:

  • Dip­loma or Mas­ter's degree in Bio­chem­istry, Bio­logy or Bioen­gin­eer­ing with very good marks
  • Strong exper­i­ence in hand­ling cell cul­tures, primary cell cul­tures/organoids/can­cer stem cells, cell and molecu­lar bio­logy, bioin­form­atic ana­lysis of omics data sets (e.g. tran­scrip­tome, methyl­ome, or sim­ilar)
  • Exper­i­ence in his­to­logy and stain­ing includ­ing the micro­scopic ana­lysis of tis­sues
  • Goal ori­ented, cap­able of hand­ling dead­lines and highly motiv­ated
  • Team player (f/m/d) who can also oper­ate inde­pend­ently
