Working field:

Teaching and research in the field of statistical physics of soft matter and biological systems with the focus on non-equilibrium statistical physics, active systems, complex fluids, and (bio-)fluid dynamics at our institute.

Requirements:

  • successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in physics or a comparable subject
  • very good knowledge in theoretical physics
  • very good prior knowledge in statistical physics of soft matter and biological systems as well as experience in numerical methods are desirable
  • high level of commitment and ability to work independently
  • very good command of German and English
  • good didactical skills are advantagous
