Working field:

  • Research in computational biology
  • Computational protein structure prediction
  • Integrative modelling
  • Protein dynamics
  • Protein docking
  • Participation in teaching computer science courses


  • Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in computer science or a related field
  • Excellent knowledge and experience in one of the research areas specified above
  • Research experience with deep learning and other machine learning methods
  • Interest in collaborating with biologists and experimentalists
  • Experience in the use of CPU- and GPU-based computing clusters
  • Excellent English skills orally and in writing are required; sufficient language proficiency to teach classes in both German and English is expected
