Working field:

Research in the field of statistics of stochastic partial differential equations (SPDE) within the project A01 "Statistics for SPDE" of the CRC 1294 Data Assimilation (see PhD thesis preparation is possible.


  • successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in mathematics
  • solid knowledge in Stochastic Analysis
  • additional in-depth knowledge in the theory of partial differential equations or nonlinear evolution equations is desirable
  • good command of German and/or English required, both written and spoken, willingness to acquire lacking language skills in either English or German is expected
