As a research assistant at the Chair of Handling and Assembly Technology Research, you stand for a value stream analysis in manufacturing. The focus of the chair is resource planning, flexible assembly automation and the process-oriented development and establishment of technological an organizational improvement.
The team is currently looking for support in the area of human, process, and digitalization in system context. The position holder will be responsible for teaching and research activities in this area.
You will be responsible for the achievement of scientific goals and the organization and development of lectures. Therefore, you will communicate with students, other team members, potential project partners and sponsors, define deliverables and work to achieve them.
From a manufacturing engineering perspective, you will develop a teaching and research concept for efficient handling and reversible assembly. With your experience in the area of human-machine interfaces, you will contribute to design a user-friendly and easily configurable system. You will represent the chair regionally and internationally in order to disseminate the project results. As a valuable member you will actively lead to the further development of the chair based on your
personality, know-how and experience.
Successfully completed university degree (Master, Diploma or equivalent) in production technology or mechanical engineering with production-related focus
Knowledge in artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning or a related field
Experience in prototypical implementation and supervision of experimental test-beds
Knowledge in production technology, mechatronics and automatization
Experience as supervisor and organizator of teaching activities is an advantage
Willing to intensely participate in further development of the research area at the department
Proactive learner and maker mentality combined with design thinking skills
High level of ability for self-organization and taking responsibility
Agile approach to work
High ability to communicate and work in teams
Very good German and good English language skills
Adequate scientific language and strong presentation skills
