The TU Dres­den is one of ele­ven Ger­man uni­ver­si­ties that were iden­ti­fied as an “excel­lence uni­ver­sity”. TUD has about 36.500 stu­dents and almost 5319 employees, 507 pro­fes­sors among them, and, thus, is the lar­gest uni­ver­sity in Sax­ony, today.

Having been com­mit­ted to sci­en­ces and the engi­nee­ring before the reuni­fi­ca­tion of Ger­many, TU Dres­den now is a multi-disci­pline uni­ver­sity, also offe­ring huma­nities and social sci­en­ces as well as medi­cine.

Rese­arch asso­ciate / PhD Stu­dent

The posi­tion is star­ting at the ear­liest pos­si­ble date for a period of 3 years with 75% of the full­time wee­kly hours. The period of employ­ment is gover­ned by the Fixed Term Rese­arch Con­tracts Act (WissZeitVG). The posi­tion offers the chance to obtain fur­ther aca­de­mic qua­li­fi­ca­tion (e.g. PhD).

Work­ing field:

indi­vi­dual rese­arch; par­ti­ci­pa­tion in the rese­arch pro­jects of the chair; Par­ti­ci­pa­tion in the tea­ching pro­gram of the chair; par­ti­ci­pa­tion in admi­nis­tra­tive tasks at the chair and in the faculty.


above-average uni­ver­sity degree (Diploma or Mas­ter) in Busi­ness Admi­nis­tra­tion, Manage­ment, Socio­logy, Cul­tu­ral Stu­dies or rela­ted disci­pli­nes; very good metho­do­lo­gi­cal skills in the field of qua­li­ta­tive rese­arch; very good know­ledge of writ­ten and spo­ken Eng­lish; rese­arch inte­rests in the field of orga­ni­za­tion, work, and manage­ment; com­pa­ti­bi­lity to the rese­arch pro­file of the chair (orga­ni­za­tio­nal tem­po­ra­lity, change and per­sis­tence in orga­ni­za­ti­ons, cor­po­rate sustai­na­bi­lity, digi­tiza­tion and new forms of work and orga­ni­zing); abi­lity to work crea­tively and inde­pendently.
