The Elia Group encom­passes two major trans­mis­sion sys­tem oper­at­ors (TSOs) in Europe. Both TSOs oper­ate at the heart of the European elec­tri­city sys­tem as they provide vital links between the vari­ous elec­tri­city pro­du­cers and their 30 mil­lion end users. The Group’s high voltage net­work, with its intric­ately meshed 18,600 km grid, trans­ports the elec­tri­city gen­er­ated by the pro­du­cers to the dis­tri­bu­tion sys­tem oper­at­ors and major indus­trial con­sumers.

Innov­a­tion & Digit­al­iz­i­ation – Intern (f/m/d)

Become part of Elia Group’s innov­a­tion team to test and val­id­ate decent­ral­ized ledger tech­no­logy in our sec­tor coup­ling activ­it­ies.

Work­ing field:

  • We are look­ing for a motiv­ated can­did­ate to sup­port us on our mis­sion towards a decent­ral­ized, con­sumer cent­ric and renew­able energy sys­tem.
  • Together with our part­ner com­pan­ies and organ­iz­a­tions, we are devel­op­ing solu­tions to integ­rate decent­ral­ized devices in a scal­able and non-dis­crim­in­ator way. Dis­trib­uted Ledger Tech­no­logy (DLT) and the poten­tial of decent­ral­ized iden­ti­fier play a major role in this vis­ion.
  • You will sup­port us in run­ning proof-of-con­cepts and pro­jects related to decent­ral­ized iden­tit­ies in the auto­mot­ive, smart home and pub­lic sec­tor.
  • You will have the chance to dive into the DLT eco­sys­tem of the Energy Web Found­a­tion of which Elia Group is a found­ing mem­ber.
  • Besides pro­ject man­age­ment, we expect sup­port in research, events and work­shops organ­iz­a­tion as well as in com­mu­nic­a­tion.

Require­ments:

  • You have com­pleted your bach­elor’s degree or pur­sue a mas­ter’s degree in the fields of IT, engin­eer­ing, entre­pren­eur­ship or eco­nom­ics/busi­ness,
  • You have a good under­stand­ing of energy eco­nom­ics,
  • You have a Basic under­stand­ing of block­chain tech­no­logy,
  • You have a high level of motiv­a­tion and curi­os­ity,
  • You enjoy work­ing pro­act­ively as part of a lar­ger team,
  • You are flu­ent in Eng­lish (Level B2)
