Employee with a higher uni­versity degree (d/m/f) - Pay grade 13 TV-L Ber­liner Hoch­schu­len for the pos­i­tion of per­sonal advisor to the vice pres­id­ent

The pos­i­tion is also avail­able on a part-time basis.

Work­ing field:

Sup­port­ing the vice pres­id­ent for stra­tegic devel­op­ment, junior schol­ars and teacher edu­ca­tion through admin­is­trat­ive and organ­iz­a­tional work as well as duties asso­ci­ated with the areas of respons­ib­il­ity of the vice pres­id­ent.
Duties include:
  • Pre­par­a­tion and fol­low-up of appoint­ments and meet­ings and over­see­ing their smooth run­ning
  • Organ­iz­a­tion of events and com­mu­nic­a­tion for­ums both within and out­side of TU Ber­lin
  • Sup­port­ing pub­lic rela­tions activ­it­ies
  • Tak­ing over internal and external com­mu­nic­a­tion and coordin­a­tion pro­cesses at national and inter­na­tional level on behalf of the vice pres­id­ent
  • Pre­par­ing present­a­tions
  • Draft­ing wel­com­ing addresses, offi­cial cor­res­pond­ence and byline art­icles in Ger­man and Eng­lish
  • Assist­ance with the nego­ti­ation and draft­ing of con­trac­tual agree­ments
  • Assist­ance with devel­op­ing and main­tain­ing rela­tions with internal and external cooper­a­tion part­ners
  • Assist­ance with com­mit­tee work at TU Ber­lin and liais­ing with the Ber­lin Sen­ate


  • A higher uni­versity degree (mas­ter’s, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent)
  • The capa­city to work inde­pend­ently with a high level of respons­ib­il­ity and com­mit­ment
  • Capa­city to work to the highest level under time pres­sure
  • Will­ing­ness to take on work in new areas
  • Pro­fes­sional atti­tude in deal­ing with all mem­bers of the Uni­versity and external con­tacts
  • Excel­lent com­mu­nic­a­tion skills and the abil­ity to deal effect­ively with con­flict situ­ations
  • Excel­lent writ­ten and spoken Ger­man and Eng­lish
Desir­able qual­i­fic­a­tions:
  • Exper­i­ence of aca­demic/uni­versity man­age­ment
  • Famili­ar­ity with uni­versity policy pro­ced­ures
  • Exper­i­ence of and interest in writ­ing texts and stra­tegic con­cepts
  • Excel­lent organ­iz­a­tional skills
