Working Group "Applied Functional Analysis" within the Cluster of Excellence MATH+
Research in the working group "Applied Functional Analysis" related to the project EF1-1 "Quantifying Uncertainties in Explainable AI" within the frame¬work of the Excel¬lence Cluster MATH+. This project aims at the development of mathematical methods for the explanation of decisions by artificial neural networks as well as a theoretical analysis of the functionality of these methods, with a particular emphasis on uncertainties.
successfully completed university degree (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in Mathematics or Computer Science
PhD desired though not required
profound knowledge in at least one of the subareas of the field Mathematics of Data Science
knowledge of Machine Learning is desirable
good English language skills are desired
