Work­ing field:

  • work­ing with a team of open-minded and com­mit­ted sci­ent­ists as well as a diver­si­fied field of work
  • exe­cu­tion of teach­ing mod­ules, in par­tic­u­lar stu­dent pro­jects, for the Bach­elor and Mas­ter cur­ricula in Ger­man and Eng­lish, on the top­ics land­scape devel­op­ment, land­scape plan­ning, pro­tec­ted areas, with ref­er­ence to cur­rently devel­op­ing meth­ods and con­tents in the sub­ject field
  • applic­a­tion for and par­ti­cip­a­tion in research pro­jects
  • writ­ing of pub­lic­a­tions
  • PhD research
  • con­tri­bu­tion to aca­demic self-admin­is­tra­tion


  • a suc­cess­fully com­pleted uni­versity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) in Land­scape Plan­ning, Envir­on­mental Plan­ning or equi­val­ent
  • very good know­ledge of the con­tents and meth­ods of Land­scape Plan­ning and their eco­lo­gical, legal, admin­is­trat­ive, polit­ical and soci­etal con­text
  • good know­ledge of related instru­ments (pro­tec­ted areas, envir­on­mental assess­ment, etc.)
  • flu­ent Ger­man with excel­lent verbal and writ­ten skills, very good pro­fi­ciency of the Eng­lish lan­guage
  • very good com­puter lit­er­acy (GIS, MS-Office)
  • didactical skills, com­mit­ment, capa­city for team­work, aptitude for inde­pend­ent work
Desired are:
  • exper­i­ence of work­ing in a plan­ning office, nature con­ser­va­tion admin­is­tra­tion or research pro­jects are an advant­age
  • exper­i­ence in teach­ing
  • know­ledge of the struc­tures and pro­ced­ures of a uni­versity
  • inter­na­tional exper­i­ence
