Development & Outreach Intern
The intern will learn and primarily focus on:
Event planning for the Voices for Justice Dinner in Spring 2018 and various outreach and cultivation events (i.e., film screenings and receptions)
Preparing visits of HRW researchers and advocates
Creating donor profiles and database management
Conducting research on funding possibilities in Germany
and Other tasks and projects as they arise.
Applicants must be enrolled students for the duration of the internship term. This position is open to students who are interested in fundraising, outreach, and special events within a human rights context. Experience with event planning or fundraising is desirable. Applicants should be well-organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and reliable with strong time management skills and a positive attitude. Excellent oral and written command of German and English are essential. Computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office, internet applications, database) are required.
