Junior Pro­fess­or­ship - salary grade W1

for the field of "Digital Cur­ren­cies/Crypto­cur­ren­cies".

Work­ing field:

The pos­i­tion includes teach­ing and research duties in the area of „Digital Cur­ren­cies/Crypto­cur­ren­cies“, with a focus on the eco­nomic implic­a­tions of cash­less decent­ral­ized pay­ment sys­tems. Applic­ants should have expert­ise in mon­et­ary eco­nom­ics con­nec­ted with at least one of the fol­low­ing research areas or related fields:
  • Mac­roe­co­nom­ics
  • Indus­trial organ­iz­a­tion
  • Pub­lic eco­nom­ics
  • Fin­ance
Teach­ing in the study pro­grams “Indus­trial Engin­eer­ing and Man­age­ment” (Bach­elor and Mas­ter), “Eco­nom­ics” (Bach­elor), “Indus­trial and Net­work Eco­nom­ics” (Mas­ter), “Sus­tain­able Man­age­ment” (Bach­elor) and “Innov­a­tion Man­age­ment, Entre­pren­eur­ship and Sus­tain­ab­il­ity” (Mas­ter) is expec­ted. Can­did­ates should be able to teach courses in Ger­man and Eng­lish. Cooper­a­tion with col­leagues at the Ein­stein Cen­ter Digital Future.


Suc­cess­ful applic­ants must ful­fill the require­ments for appoint­ment in com­pli­ance with § 102a Ber­lin Higher Edu­ca­tion Act (the inform­a­tion leaf­let will be for­war­ded upon request), includ­ing a com­pleted aca­demic edu­ca­tion, edu­ca­tional and didactic com­pet­ences, to be proven by a teach­ing port­fo­lio (for fur­ther Inform­a­tion see TUB Web­site, quick access no. 144242), qual­i­fied achieve­ments in research, usu­ally proven by an out­stand­ing doc­toral thesis (PhD) and Research activ­it­ies in the men­tioned fields. We are seek­ing a sci­ent­ist with exper­i­ence in quant­it­at­ive the­or­et­ical or empir­ical research and in pub­lic­a­tions in inter­na­tional journ­als.
