Work­ing field:

The aim of the Pro­ject is to develop bib­li­o­met­ric meth­ods that link the micro level of indi­vidual know­ledge pro­duc­tion to the macro level of sci­entific com­munit­ies and their know­ledge dynam­ics. Tasks include the devel­op­ment of bib­li­o­met­ric meth­ods, the design and imple­ment­a­tion of algroithms, and per­form­ing exper­i­ments with the meth­ods.

  • suc­cess­fully com­pleted uni­versity degree (Dip­lom, Mas­ter or equi­val­ent) in social sci­ence dis­cip­line (with an emphasis on quant­it­at­ive meth­ods) or a nat­ural sci­ence dis­cip­line
  • excel­lent Eng­lish lan­guage skills
  • the abil­ity to work inde­pend­ently on the design, Organ­isa­tion and con­duct of empir­ical invest­ig­a­tions
  • the pro­ject com­bines know­ledge and meth­ods from stat­ist­ics and lin­ear algebra, pro­gram­ming (desivarble are R, SQL, and a script­ing lan­guage like Python), Bib­li­o­met­rics and the soci­ology of sci­ence - know­ledge in one of these fields and the will­ing­ness and abil­ity to mas­ter the oth­ers are expec­ted
