Work­ing field:

  • Teach­ing: con­cep­tion, pre­par­a­tion, deliv­ery and super­vi­sion of lec­tures (study pro­jects) of the Chair (in Ger­man and Eng­lish) in the Bach­elor's course ‘Eco­logy and Envir­on­mental Plan­ning’, and in the Mas­ter's degree pro­gram ‘Envir­on­mental Plan­ning’. The con­tent refers in par­tic­u­lar to the use and import­ance of eco­nomic per­spect­ives in the con­text of envir­on­mental plan­ning as well as national and inter­na­tional envir­on­mental policies and the applic­a­tion of envir­on­mental approaches and meth­ods in the man­age­ment of nat­ural resources
  • Assist­ance in the pre­par­a­tion and deliv­ery of other courses and teach­ing units in the Chair
  • (Assist in) writ­ing pub­lic­a­tions on the main research areas of the Chair
  • (Assist in) draft­ing and deliv­ery of research pro­pos­als and man­age­ment of research pro­jects
  • Act­ive con­tri­bu­tion to admin­is­trat­ive tasks of the Chair related to research and teach­ing

The tasks described con­trib­ute to the sci­entific qual­i­fic­a­tion and the acquis­i­tion of com­pet­en­cies in pro­ject man­age­ment, as well as in the con­cep­tion and pub­lic­a­tion of sci­entific pub­lic­a­tions.


  • Suc­cess­fully com­pleted uni­versity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) in Eco­nom­ics (with a con­sid­er­able envir­on­mental ori­ent­a­tion) or Envir­on­mental Sci­ences (with an eco­nomic focus) or com­par­able fields; hold­ing a PhD in a sub­ject related to envir­on­mental eco­nom­ics is of advant­age
  • Extens­ive know­ledge in the field of eco­nomic eval­u­ation of nat­ural resources, insti­tu­tional aspects of envir­on­mental policy, use of eco­nomic valu­ation in national and inter­na­tional envir­on­mental policies
  • Sub­stant­ive exper­i­ence in the rel­ev­ant sub­ject areas
  • Teach­ing exper­i­ence is of advant­age
  • Excel­lent Ger­man and Eng­lish lan­guage skills
  • Abil­ity for team­work, abil­ity to work inde­pend­ently and in a struc­tured man­ner
