The Hasso Plattner Foundation aims to accelerate the adoption of digital technologies through science and education, improve access to foster connections through art and culture, and support environmental conservation. Hasso Plattner is one of the founders of SAP, an enterprise software company, and has been Chairman of its Supervisory Board since 2003.

In 1998, Hasso Plattner founded the Hasso Plattner Institute for Digital Engineering (HPI), marking his first significant philanthropic contribution. After signing the Giving Pledge (initiated by Bill and Melinda Gates and Warren Buffet), he established the foundation in 2015. The Hasso Plattner Foundation’s main office is in Potsdam, Germany.

Aufgabenbeschreibung:

About the role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and tech-savvy individual to join our IT team as a Working Student specializing in IT System & Infrastructure Support. As a Working Student, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in supporting various IT functions and contribute keep things up and running at our organization. You will be based in Potsdam (Germany) within commuting distance of central Berlin, working part-time.

User Assistance:

  • Provide timely support to end-users with hardware and software issues.
  • Assist in onboarding and troubleshooting laptops, mobile devices and peripherals.

IT Maintenance:

  • Contribute to routine maintenance tasks for servers, networking equipment, and software.
  • Assist in software installations and updates.

Issue Resolution:

  • Identify and resolve basic technical issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with the team to implement solutions and prevent recurring problems.

Documentation:

  • Maintain clear and concise documentation for IT processes and issue resolutions.
  • Create user-friendly guides for common technical concerns.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the IT team on ongoing projects and tasks.
  • Understand and address IT needs of different departments.

Erwartete Qualifikationen:

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field).
  • Basic understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and support.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a keen interest in technology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Familiarity with Windows and/or MacOS operating systems.
