Berlin Institute of Health at Charité (BIH) - BIH QUEST Center
The mission of the Berlin Institute of Health at Charité (BIH) is medical translation: transferring biomedical research findings into novel approaches to personalized prediction, prevention, diagnostics and therapies and, conversely, using clinical observations to develop new research ideas. The aim is to deliver relevant medical benefits to patients and the population at large. The BIH was founded in 2013 and is funded 90 percent by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and 10 percent by the State of Berlin. Since 2021 the BIH has been integrated into Charité as its so-called third pillar.
Research fellow (f/m/d)
You will join the Collaborative Approach to Meta-Analysis and Review of Animal Data from Experimental Studies (CAMARADES) Berlin group, based at the Berlin Institute of Health @ Charité (BIH) QUEST Center for Responsible Research. The position involves working across several projects aiming to assess the external validity of stroke models in preclinical experiments by applying systematic review and meta-analyses, including investigating sex differences in stroke outcomes. More specifically, your tasks encompass supporting several systematic reviews, analysing extracted data and applying multilevel meta-analysis and multiverse meta-analysis methodology. Our goal is to improve the validity, increase the value, and facilitate the translation of preclinical research. We perform research to support decisions on how experiments are designed and justified and when evidence is translated to the clinic.
