Die Mis­sion des Leib­niz-Zen­trums für Agrar­land­schafts­forschung (ZALF) e. V. als national und inter­na­tional agi­er­endes Forschung­szen­trum ist es, an der öko­nomisch, öko­lo­gisch und sozial nach­halti­gen Land­wirtschaft der Zukunft zu forschen – gemein­sam mit Akteuren aus der Wis­senschaft, Politik und Praxis. Das ZALF ist Mit­glied der Leib­niz-Gemeinsch­aft und unter­hält neben dem Hauptstan­dort in Müncheberg (ca. 35 Minuten mit der Region­al­bahn von Ber­lin-Lichten­berg) eine Forschungssta­tion mit weit­eren Stan­dorten in Dede­low sowie Pau­lin­enaue.

We offer a stu­dent assist­ant pos­i­tion in the pro­ject “Optimal Nitro­gen (N) for future agri­cul­tural land­scapes: digital tech­no­lo­gies to optim­ize trade-offs”. The focus is on com­bin­ing point field meas­ure­ments, envir­on­mental mon­it­or­ing tools, and prox­imal and remote sens­ing tech­no­lo­gies to quantify crop­ping sys­tem N dynam­ics in a newly installed land­scape exper­i­ment focus­ing on spa­tio-tem­poral crop diver­si­fic­a­tion.

Stu­dent assist­ant (f/m/d)

Part of the pro­ject is to con­duct soil and bio­mass sampling for meas­ur­ing Nitro­gen across dif­fer­ent patches and fields dur­ing dif­fer­ent phen­o­lo­gical stages. To sup­port our field activ­it­ies, we are look­ing for a stu­dent assist­ant pos­i­tion for 3 months, start­ing earli­est July 2023 until end of Septem­ber. The con­tract can be 32 hours/month or 8 hours/ week at our site in Müncheberg.

Working field:

  • sup­port soil and bio­mass sampling cam­paigns dur­ing sum­mer
  • sample pro­cessing
  • post-pro­cessing of data, clean­ing and pre­par­a­tion for ana­lysis

Requirements:

  • B. Sc. in agri­cul­ture, envir­on­mental sci­ences or related dis­cip­lines, also cur­rent B. Sc stu­dents are wel­come to apply
  • exper­i­ence in field work
  • driv­ing license (advant­age­ous)
